As an established digital screen solution company based in High Wycombe which is expanding and is recruiting for a 1st Line IT Support Engineer to join their team and work on high-profile clients such as Sky, EE and Bannatyne.
About the 1st Line IT Support Engineer role:
You will be working in an extremely varied role which involves 1st Line help desk responsibilities to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues with routers, broadband connectivity and AV equipment.
In addition to this you will be responsible for:
* Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
* Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving faults
* Talking staff or clients through a series of actions over the telephone to help resolve issues
* Ordering replacement parts and booking our team of engineers to visit sites across the UK and ROI and managing progress as required
* Raising, updating and closing client tracker tickets and updating database information
* Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
* Responding within agreed time limits to faults and adhering to client SLA’s
* Maintaining a high level of customer service always to provide an excellent customer service experience
In order to be successful in this role you should have:
* A years’ experience in a tech support/helpdesk role offering general IT support preferably with multi-site discipline.
* You will be a self-motivated individual who demonstrates excellent analytical skills.
* Good, fundamental knowledge of networking systems
* Good working knowledge of supporting IOS devices
* Good understanding and knowledge of networking protocols and standards TCP/IP routing protocols
You should possess the below personal skills:
* Be able to take ownership of tasks and projects and work with your own initiative. Be organised and responsible for completing tasks on time
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to talk at all levels to technical and non technical people
