Lammond Associates are assisting a high end, award winning, new build developer with appointing an experienced Quantity Surveyor. A great opportunity to join a national organisation with continued growth to join an expanding commercial team in developing a new region. This will be working at new locations across Buckinghamshire with a mixture of working from home and on site until the brand new offices are completed.

We are looking for someone that has a proven track record working for a Main Contractor or Developer in a similar role
Purpose of the job:
To supervise, manage and advise on the Financial and Contractual Aspects of multiple construction projects. To seek to improve upon individual aspects and procedures to achieve higher efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Attend main contract pre-start and subcontract package review meetings.
* Liaise with Development teams to establish requirements for pre-contract expenditure and strategic procurement.
* Receive initial tender information, prepare and update procurement programmes.
* Agree selection of suitable Subcontractors for works packages.
* Approve the competency of Subcontractors for inclusion on the Subcontractor’s Approved List.
* Maintain and review the Approved List of Subcontractors in accordance with the Departmental procedures.
* Monitor production of information and advise on financial feasibility of design development.
* Prepare Subcontract tender documentation, analyses tender returns and make recommendations on subcontractor selection.
* Prepare tender evaluations, A1 and C6 accounts forms for approval / signing by authorised signatory.
* Attend subcontract pre-order meetings and agree any post tender variations and matters affecting tender sum.
* Prepare and monitor subcontract documentation and warranties for eventual engrossment by parties to the contract.
* Prepare and agree initial preliminaries costings with Construction Director and monitor expenditure.
* Liaise with the Buying team to determine allowances within budget for the direct procurement of materials and monitor material purchasing costs to incorporate in contract financial reports.
* Prepare and submit notices and applications for Client / Agent for Extension of Time claims.
* Ensure Subcontractors are pre qualified with respect to H&S and that all H&S documentation is in place prior to starting on site.
* Keep RAMS schedule updated and issue to relevant parties.
