Purpose of the role
As a Newly Qualified Accountant you will be responsible for our clients back office financial functions as per each individual engagement letter in place. You will complete all monthly ledger work through to the completion of monthly management information. You will look after the client's VAT/FCA/National statistics and other statutory returns as they are due. Working with the business service lines such as financial account preparation, Tax preparation, payroll and employee tax teams.
Working as a leading member of the team, the role will be a varied mixture of duties on agreed clients. Responsible for providing a high-quality outsourced service to our clients on a full-time basis. You will also be the primary point of contact for clients. You will lead team on completion on Management accounts work, upskilling team members and scheduling work to the appropriate individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
Review of Bank and Credit card reconciliations
Review of invoices in scanning system and post into ERP system
Prepare complex month end journals (payroll, distribution fees etc)
Assist in the preparation of monthly client management information
Preparation of VAT returns
Responsible for the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and making sure files are loaded for the client
Pulling information together for expat payrolls and review payroll teams work before sending onto client
Posting on expat journals including, payroll, taxes and intercompany invoices to charge out to host countries
Compilation of Audit pack, with liaison for the groups/entity's auditors
Compilation of Earnings Summaries for tax teams to complete returns
Compile information for PSA, form 42 and P11D/P11Db work
Work in accordance with defined systems and processes
Be able to manage own workflow and delegate appropriate tasks, bearing in mind the restrictions in place on reporting deadlines
Liaise with clients in a professional manner and deal quickly and effectively with client queries within agreed service levels
Support outsourcing managers in an effective manner, as and when needed
Assist in training and development of junior team members
Reviewing and challenging the efficiency of data flows and where applicable suggest improvements to ensure high service level
Ensuring adherence to relevant client policies regarding approval and payment of such invoices

Key Skills
Experience of preparing monthly financial/management information
Proactive with good analytical skills – ability to find solutions and explain them clearly
Part Qualified (near end stages)/Newly Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
Excellent communication skills
Advanced Excel skills
Good organisation skills, ability to work to tight deadlines and flexible with working hours over month end, utilising annualised hours scheme to ensure work life balance
ERP experience required (NetSuite, Workday, SAP)
Focused on providing excellent client service
