Supervising Engineer
Location – Milton Keynes
Salary & Package on offer: £40k-£45k (depending on experience) + Benefits + Pension + Annual Leave + Training & Development.
We currently have a superb opportunity for a Supervising Engineer to join one of our clients who are a leading provider of services to the CHP, Combined Heat and Power, Power Generation and District Heating sector.
Our client supply heat and power to a large number of commercial and private customers and you'll be responsible for supervising and supporting the engineering team throughout the Milton Keynes area and across planned maintenance, repair, replacement and operation of electrical and mechanical plant.
Job Role:
Responsible for day to day supervision of a small team of engineering staff and supporting the Engineering Manager.
Hands on supervisory role therefore you'll also join part of the engineering team and involved in reactive maintenance, identifying and rectifying generator faults, restoring electrical supplies, repairing pipe work, valves and pumps.
Making daily system checks and completing logs, identifying anomalies and adjusting system operational parameters through SCADA based control systems. Key Skills Required:
You'll need to have an engineering background of some form, ideally with a mechanical bias and also good electrical knowledge / skills therefore multi-skilled experience is desired.
IOSH Managing safety or similar is desired.
ACoP L8 Legionella Aware / trained as duty holder also desired.
Ideally you'll have working knowledge of industrial plant including generators, pumps, motors, electrical control gear.
Experience with CHP gas engines is desired.
Experience in administration or operation of CMMS systems.
