£45,000 to £50,000 plus Benefits

A fast-paced manufacturing company are recruiting for a Purchasing Manager to manage and over see the purchasing department. You will have experience managing a purchasing department and developing strategies. Strong background of purchasing components, materials and negotiating contracts.

As a Purchasing Manager your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.

Create, plan, and implement purchasing strategies and how to handle global shortages.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors and source potential new suppliers.
Maintain data base of approved suppliers and negotiate new and improved contracts.
Ensure company systems are updated with component standard price and other relevant purchasing data.
Manage and develop a pro-active Purchasing Team.
Analysis strengths and weakness of Purchasing teams’ individuals and implementing training and coaching programs.
Provide necessary support to satisfy the requirement of internal departments such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, R & D, Operations, and all Marshall facilities.
Manage Inventory levels for all components and materials.
Set, determine and track KPI’s.
Organise shipments of goods from overseas for UK production.
An exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Manager with the following.

Degree qualified with a Diploma in CIPS.
At least 5 years working as Purchasing Manager within the Manufacturing industry.
Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
Has a good Purchasing buyer background and understands the global market.
Excellent communication and time keeping skills.
Full UK Driving license.
