Mechanical Project Engineer
Our client is a critical power systems and maintenance contractor that operate in the Data Centre, Finance & Banking and Telecommunications markets. They are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join on a permanent basis who will specialise in all aspects of the design, planning, implementation and on-going maintenance of critical power systems.
Mechanical Project Engineer Role summary:
The Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for the design of mechanical support systems on UPS and Generator projects ensuring compliance with both project specifications and industry standards. The Mechanical Project Engineer also assists in the development and improvement of engineering processes and best practices and supports the business development group. This role has responsibility for quality, process and the high standards our customers expect.
You will provide up front technical support to the sales department on the specification and design of UPS & Generator systems, specifically focussing on mechanical packages (i.e. Fuel Storage & Supply Systems, Cooling Systems, Ventilation Systems, Vibration Transmission, Exhaust Management Systems, Acoustic Attenuation, etc.)
Mechanical Project Engineer Experience
Essential
·A minimum qualification level of Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline
·3-5 years’ experience working as a Mechanical Design or Project Engineer.
Desired
·Good knowledge of fluid transfer systems, ventilation systems, material selection, project management principles, CDM principles, etc
·Basic understanding of electrical distribution systems and components, electronic control systems and components, etc
