Our client is a leading main contractor with an exciting opportunity for Design Coordinator to join their team in Buckinghamshire on a permanent basis to work on their HS2 project.

You – You will have previous experience working for a main contractor coordinating the design across multiple disciplines and interfaces while working alongside technical leads. For this role you will be required to have heavy civil engineering experience.

Your Role –

To develop the design to achieve a safe, buildable, operational and maintainable asset that is compliant with Standards and meets the Project Requirements.

Technical responsibility for release of design deliverables and surveillance of project design process.

One of the final approvers of all deliverables to the client, giving confirmation that the deliverable can be released to the client or third parties, including the Design Compliance submissions
Manage the Design Change process through Compliance Engineering Change Notices (CECNs) and Field Design Change Requests (FDCRs), ensuring that the process is followed and all decisions are fully recorded in an updated Design Change Register and Design Change Notices; and that any agreed changes or remedial actions are properly implemented, controlled & monitored on site.

Manage the Construction Risk Review process and associated registers, including chairing the monthly review meeting and keeping the Risk Register updated

Qualifications
Civil Engineering related degree
