A global multinational pharmaceutical company based in Milton Keynes is looking for an IT Project Manager to join its team on an initial 6-month contract basis. This role is based on site (2-3 days per week) but does offer the opportunity for remote working when appropriate.

As an IT Project Manager you will

Take responsibility of multiple IT assignments.
Work with a senior manager in the infrastructure project stream delivering key assignments covering computer room upgrades, network upgrades, construction of new facilities to include use of new technologies around AV and digital transformation, WIFI and more.
Provide support and guidance to challenges with current infrastructure.

The successful IT Project Manager will have the following skills and experience:

Working towards or have a formal certification in a recognised Project Management qualification such as PRINCE 2 Practitioner, Managing Successful Programmes or PMP preferred but not essential.
Be familiar with technologies such as Microsoft, Cisco and VMware.
Experience with storage area networks, WAN , LAN, virtualization, firewalls, routers etc.
Demonstrable project management experience leading small-medium size assignments in IT infrastructure.
Proven skills in delivery with high detail to include processes reporting and budget management.
Demonstrate good team leadership skills.
Ability to assist with the design and approach for assignments.

Desirable skills include:

Pharmaceutical background.
Knowledge of GMP processes and validation requirements where required.
PM tools – MS Project, Azure Dev Ops, Jira.
Good documentation skills.
Creative thinking to find solutions to problems.
Knowledge of cloud-based technologies.

This IT Project Manager role is inside IR35. In return you will receive a pay rate of up to £450 per day – negotiable dependent on experience.
