The Role: The successful Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a pipeline of new business opportunities for sales and rental of temperature controlled vehicles of all sizes in order to deliver a profitable revenue growth. You will be responsible for managing your day to day, journey planning, proactively setting up businesses meetings and drive sales by offering high levels of customer service.
Key Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager:
Proactively seek new business within a defined territory to meet set targets
Actively target a variety of businesses such as: food catering, food processing, hotels, butchers etc.
Achieving and exceeding quarterly / annual new business targets
Reporting calls, leads, quotes and contract activity on to the CRM
Producing and presenting weekly, monthly, quarterly personal performance
Liaising regularly with internal stakeholders such as the Regional Operations team to roll out sales initiatives within region and to ensure that the vehicles are in line with customers' expectations
Be the primary interface for our target customers
Responsible for sales prospecting and pricing negotiations
Present at board level to pitch for business

They enjoy a sales turnover in excess of £800million, with almost 5000 employees, as well as offering excellent ongoing sales career opportunities.
For this Business Development Manager position, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
New business field sales experience, ideally within a vehicle rental background
You could have a new business sales background within contract hire, capital equipment, vehicle retrofit / aftermarket services
Consultative sales process
New business track record
Able to present at board level
Benefits of this Business Development Executive role:
£40-45,000 Basic Salary
OTE £25-30,000 Uncapped Commission
