IT Support Analyst required for a 12 month contract based in Milton Keynes
Working inside of IR35 for a Global Information Technology company, you will work within the central technical/operations team providing IT support to a number of clients.
Key responsibilities:
Monitoring complex infrastructure to identify issues & potential problems
Working with different types of tools to detect issues & proactively fix before problems
appear
Monitoring and executing batch schedules, backup & tape operations & scheduling
Operation & support of Operating systems on both virtual and physical platforms
Reporting system operational status by gathering and prioritizing information
Perform daily and weekly checks, identify and resolve issues
Recording incident details, carrying out investigation and providing resolution
Logging incidents, changes and issues in Service Desk systems – Various sources
(alerts/phone/email)
Escalation of issues to support staff and engineering teams
Managing very busy workloads that includes regular tasks, ad-hoc requests from customers
and colleagues
For this role you need to have previous experience providing remote IT Service Desk support to end users with technical skills of MS Windows Operating Systems, EMC Storage Management, backup system management, basic networking and Data Centre/Command Centre Operations. Any knowledge/experience of Unix, Linux will be highly desirable.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE CLIENTS YOU WILL BE SUPPORTING, YOU MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE UK (SC) SECURITY CLEARANCE.
This role is to start ASAP and will pay between £10 – £14 per hour UMBRELLA (inside of IR35)
The rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles
