Purchasing Manager. Fancy choosing your own hours and being able to work from home full-time? Our client are a flexible packaging supplier and on the search for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Purchasing Manager – what type of duties will you be carrying out?:

* Responsible for the supplier selection and subsequent supplier relationship management for all flexible packaging materials with focus on labels. Responsible to maintain global resources to allow for competitive pricing of materials from the best sourcing taking into account materials cost, freight, and currency cost factors. Establish second supplier sources whenever possible and practical to reduce our supply chain risk. Assist the planning teams to continuously improve MRP accuracy relative to safety stock levels, min max levels, min run sizes, and query reports.

* Actively pursues new materials or packaging changes to improve our products while making aggressive efforts to also reduce our flexible packaging purchase costs. Collaborates with brand managers and other stakeholders to present opportunities for cost reductions and materials improvement. Responsible to track cumulative cost reductions achieved and report to MD, Purchasing in detail when projects are completed.

* Develop and maintain active worksheets required to manage the details of the work steps and timelines associated with new product introductions or package changes. Coordinate activity with brand managers, project managers, and senior managers to assure projects are launched efficiently. Participate in scheduled team calls to insure project timelines are managed and achieved on time.

Purchasing Manager – requirements:

* Must have experience as a Purchasing Manager

* Must have experience with Flexible Packaging

* Must have experience working with multiple suppliers

Hours of Work: Flexible working, but must add up to 37.5hours per week
