We are currently recruiting an exciting Mechanical Design Engineer position for a leading manufacturer at their Milton Keynes manufacturing and production site.

Client Details

Our client is a leading manufacturer of electro-mechanical products who boast a reputation for providing high-quality products with various industry applications. The business has a well-developed design team and are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to take a senior role in the team, providing support to two CAD Designers. We are looking for candidates who are proficient in Solidworks with a background in sheet metal manufacturing.

Description

Mechanical Design & modelling of sheet metalwork and equipment in Solidworks
Create engineering drawings to relevant standards and manage the drawings accordingly with manufacturing suppliers
Work cohesively with electronic engineering team to develop products
Liaise with production teams to eliminate manufacturing issues and streamline processes
Utilise FEA tools to perform structural analysis and airflow simulations for improved reliability and rapid prototyping
Provide support and mentorship to CAD DesignerProfile

Eng/ B.Sc Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Fluency with Solidworks
Background in sheet metal design essential and any wider experience in fabrication manufacturing environments would be advantageous
Excellent problem solving skills
Effective at building internal and external relationships
Comfortable being a lead figure in an engineering teamJob Offer

Salary for the successful Mechanical Design Engineer is from £40,000 – £50,000 DOE
