Brownlee Dean are delighted to be recruiting a Project Quantity Surveyor for a national civil engineering contractor who have secured a high amount of work in central England. They're carrying out a recruitment drive to bring the best civil engineering professionals in the region into their business.
The purpose of this role is to support the senior commercial team by providing a full quantity surveying function within a project environment with the commercial guidelines employed.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* NEC contract experience is essential
* Administer contractual terms and conditions for suppliers and subcontractors
* Support the assessment of compensation events
* Provide regular cash flow forecasts
* Report expenditure against the work budget on a monthly basis
* Finalise contractors accounts and close out contracts for the work
* Assist the Project Manager in resolving all commercial issues
* Review all instructions issued by the Project Manager for cost implications
* Support the change control process
* Deliver the customers requirements to maintain longstanding relationships
Key Experience:
* Proven experience as a main or specialist contractor in a commercial role
* IT literate
Personal Skills:
* Good relationship builder at all levels
* Good level of numeracy
* Can do and flexible approach to work
* Effective decision maker
Certificates & Qualifications
* Quantity Surveying Degree
* Full UK Driving Licence
