Our business to business sector is growing, as more consumers and businesses need to charge electric cars. We are looking for project manager to help scale up our business – if you have this drive, capability and share our vision – we would welcome you to join our team.
You will be joining our public sector sales team and be responsible for project managing charge point installations from design through to construction and operational handover.
Working from the beginning point of an existing and organically developed sales delivery programme, you will help build a scalable, project management method guided by PRINCE2, Project Management Professional (PMP ) or similar practitioners approach to expand and improve our existing track record for installing charge points for local authorities and public sector organisations for Public, Workplace and Fleet charging.
Working with sales colleagues, inhouse production and operations departments, external clients and stakeholders, electrical and grounds engineers, national grid licensed power companies (DNOs, IDNOs and ICPs) and renewable energy suppliers, you will take on the challenge and rewards from building a robust and expandable project management function for commercially viable clean energy infrastructure for low carbon transport.
EV charging market is developing fast as the electrification of personal transport and fleets gathers pace. Your purpose is to take responsibility for contracts to install Public, Workplace and Fleet charging infrastructure for local authorities, expanding Public charge point networks, and assist the public sector to electrify their fleets by 2030 through Workplace and Fleet charge point infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
Administer and Manage installation Projects matched to commercial targets including:
* Collaborate with internal departments for production orders, dispatch and invoicing
* Determine project scope and brief from Sales, Clients and installation stakeholders
* Instruct and project manage contractors through counterparty Project Managers, Company owners and Senior level Departmental Heads and Stakeholders
* Track, coordinate and report progress
* Manage and mitigate obstacle sand risks, escalating where appropriate
* Track and coordinate with clients for client inputs and actions
* Prepare and manage hand over from installations to operations
* Participate in customer presentations – remote and in person – and be able to clearly outline the benefits and advantages of bp pulse offering.
* Pipeline management and forecasting.
* Work with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with customer expectations.
* Where required, support the Head of Bids with tender submissions.
* Working closely with our legal team to define and negotiate contracts.
* Ensure HSE risks of installations have been considered and mitigated appropriately
* Paying close focus to BP's Code of Conduct. Be accountable for delivery of all works submissions to partners
