Aspiring Music Therapist Milton Keynes – Education and Training – LSA role for an Aspiring Music Therapist Milton Keynes – Ideal role for an aspiring Music Therapist, Education and Health Psychologist, interviews and trial days taking place immediately. Role to begin September 2nd 2021.

Giving the children a sense of acceptance and objectives. Can you demonstrate the value of an education to these children? Can you give vulnerable students, valuable key and functional skills to prosper, not to be taken advantage of? Empathy and Sincerity are the key skills here, you need to know why you want to help vulnerable students.

Do you know what Music Therapy entails and what it will take to entail to qualify? This is a good place to start, you will never be left alone with the students.

The Provision & LSA role – Everything actioned through a ABA and holistic lens

**Specialist Autistic School for children aged 7-17

**Restorative and holistic practices in place, working 1-2 with the students

**Take the initiative and deploy music as an interest, distraction and therapeutic means

**ADHD, Aspergers, OCD, Dyslexia and a focus on Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges

**Focus on trauma and nature nurture, restorative practices will be employed

**Range of age and size of children in each class, very diverse role and ideal experience

**Focus on learning need and Autism, delivering key and personal/functional skills

**Practical, creative and vocational subjects, what sparks joy for the students and will help them positively contribute to society

**70 students, classes of 6-8 ranging on ability, interest and age

**£75 per day PAYE, Monday to Friday, 8.15 to 4.15

**MAPA and ABA Training provided

This is a Learning Support Assistant role that will put you into challenging, sometimes Anti-Social contexts that will build your foundations of experience. With this LSA role starting after, de-escalation and the language around it is incredibly important! This is a specialist school where empathy and pragmatism are key, focus on the holistic and therapeutic.

Therapeutic, Holistic and Restorative Practices are used, pragmatism and positive reinforcement will be key skills in this LSA role. The role specialises in working with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and Wellness concerns. The children you are raising attainment with are between the ages of 7-17, all have EHCPs for their Autism and SEMH, they will need to continue their education in either supported living or college.

Behaviour is only one aspect of this role, it is imperative that you have the academic skill to be able to raise academic attainment across a number of areas. A lot of the boys are tall and well built, there will times when manual handling is needed, as the last resort, all the training is provided. Some of the students will bite and be anti-social, it's being prepared for these eventualities.
