Kingsley Consulting are at present recruiting on behalf of a Leading Manufacturing Group who are looking to appoint a Procurement Manager to lead, develop and implement the organisations procurement strategy in the UK & Ireland
Remuneration: circa £60K basic, car allowance, bonus, pension, healthcare, 25 days holiday + bank holidays
Location: Milton Keynes
Hours: Full Time 40hrs per week (Mon-Fri)
The role:
The appointed candidate will hold responsibility for supplier performance, cost management and compliance to help deliver top line growth for the business, utilising procurement best practice tools as well as ensuring local stakeholder management is aligned between business and procurement objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Be the primary point of contact and reference of procurement for UK & I and HQ business
Work closely with local management teams, supported by tools and policies to establish improvement areas and execute most appropriate solutions
Manage and develop procurement activities to drive performance (cost, delivery, services, top line growth, lean, compliance)
Ensure provision of key materials/ utilities for the business
Comprehensive supplier management including negotiations and contract management
Support local deployment of procurement strategies (from categories team) impacting UK & I and HQ Business
Project and change management including introduction of new technical products (technical specification, validation & project planning)
Driving policy changes with key stakeholders to ensure cost efficiencies
Ensure effective implementation and compliance with new (ERP/ SAP consolidation & integration) processes
Coordinate and lead data management collaboratively with key stakeholders including IT, Finance
Ensure business continuity
Qualifications:
University degree (Economic/ Business, Engineering) would be ideal, but not essential.
Experience:
5-7 + years’ experience working in industrial procurement – experience with indirect and trade goods required
Experience in building materials, plant, manufacturing or similar industry
Experienced managing stakeholder relationships
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all teams, areas and levels
Proven continuous improvement added throughout career
Experienced of working in a matrix organisation (shared objectives with category team)
Experience using SAP
Six Sigma experience (preferred)
