Chiltern Recruitment have an exciting new opportunity within High Wycombe. My client is looking for an efficient, proactive and focussed 1st and 2nd line technical support to join them on a 3 month fixed term contract which is likely to be extended.
Job description
* Identify, resolve and log issues regarding networking, hardware, software and peripherals
* Installing applications and computer peripherals
* Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems
* Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions
* Conduct remote troubleshooting
* Record technical issues and solutions
* Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel or external support
* Follow up with users to ensure their systems are functional
* Help create and maintain technical documentation and manuals
* Contribute to ensuring that teaching areas have ICT equipment operating
* Ensure that health and safety, GDPR and safe guarding policies/regulations associated with all ICT equipment and software is adhered to.
* Be familiar with Safeguarding requirements as outlined in the Safeguarding Policy and comply with its requirements to safeguard and protect the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

* Essential
* BSc in Computer Science or relevant field
* Proven experience as a Desktop or Technical Support Engineer, ideally within a school IT environment
* Active Directory
* Windows 10
* Office365
* Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
* Excellent problem-solving skills and multitasking skills
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Must be a team player, customer focussed with a positive cheerful outlook
