A holistic service of care and education within a therapeutic environment for children who have suffered trauma, is currently recruiting for a Registered Manager for one of their children's homes in Bedfordshire.
You will be leading a team of experienced residential childcare practitioners, two team leaders and an assistant manager.
This organisation is proud to deliver longer than average placements due to their focus being delivering the best outcomes for the children in their care.
Within this role you and your team will provide bespoke packages of care to each of the 3 young people in your home. This will be underpinned by the organisation's own specialist school and clinical team.
As a Registered Manager you will be supported by:
Extensively experienced senior managers
Bespoke packages of therapeutic care for each child according to their needs provided by multi-professionals
Education provided by an in-house school
An extensive training package for you and your team which includes both internal and external training

Your main duties and responsibilities as a Registered Manager will be:
Driving forward high-quality experiences and outcomes for your staff, while meeting and exceeding the Children’s Homes Regulations.
Ensuring that the home meets the Ofsted Quality standards and that as the manager you ensure a high level of compliance against these standards.
Providing staff with inductions, supervision, appraisals and ensure that their ongoing training needs are met.
Carrying out risk assessments and ensuring their implementation.
Ensuring that the home is well maintained, clean and homely.
Ensuring the children and young people have regular and meaningful activities, participate in their local communities and experience positive outcomes.
Making sure the children and young people have up to date support plans and that all staff are aware of and follow them.
Maintaining health and safety measures and implementing an ongoing improvement plan.
Taking part in audits, reviews and Ofsted inspections.
The successful candidate will have:
Within the last 5 years, worked in a Deputy Manager or Home Manager in a residential service for children / young people.
A Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Diploma Level 5 Leadership & Management of Residential Childcare
A full driving licence
