Role – HR and Payroll Officer
Salary – £23,000 – £33,000 p.a.
Location – High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Do you have a few years of HR experience under your belt?
Atlas Employment are delighted to be working with a brand-new client based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, who require an HR and Payroll Officer to join their quickly expanding team. They are looking for someone with a CIPD or HR qualification and at least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience, with a proven knowledge of payroll and HGR processes and current legislation.
You can expect your CIPD to be funded by the company, regular team socials and exceptional career development due to the nature of the business.
What will you be doing as the HR and Payroll Officer?
Provide a core HR function to directly support the HR Director
Check and process the monthly payroll within agreed timelines
Be the point of liaison between outsourced payroll companies, including payroll queries after payroll has been run
File annual documents with HMRC, i.e. P11Ds and P60s
Proactively keep up to date with current and future legislation, best practice, and CIPD communications and advice
Provide advice and guidance to line managers and employees on employee relations and employment law topics such as maternity, short and long-term sickness absence, flexible working requests, furlough and probation extensions
Provide first-line HR support across the business and to manage the HR inbox, providing pragmatic and comprehensive HR advice
Create, monitor, review and update all HR policies and ensure these are in line with the current legislation
Prepare employment contracts, job descriptions and advertisements
Manage the recruitment process including advertising, arranging interviews, checking right to work documentation, making offers to candidates, issuing and collating approved documentation
Assist with candidate selection including telephone and face-to-face interviews
Any other ad hoc administrative tasks as requiredYou should apply for this role if you have…
A CIPD or HR qualification (essential)
Previous payroll experience with processing – not just inputting
The ability to remain impartial and confidential at all times
Effective communication skills
High level of interpersonal skills and good knowledge of MS OfficeEasy transport routes from; Aylesbury, Marlow, Henley-on-Thames, Princes Risborough, Beaconsfield, Amersham
Status – Full-Time (Mon-Fri) with some flexibility to support a 24/7 business
