Composite Design Engineer – F1 – Motorsport

Composite Design engineer required for immediate start:

Contract Length – ASAP – 30-09-21

Possible extension of a few months

Inside IR35

Up to 50 hrs per week

Working hours 8:30-5:30 – Mon-Fri

To fulfil this position you will need:

* Current, appropriate and extensive experience of Motorsport / F1/ Hyper Car Composite Design.

* Engineering qualification or equivalent and relevant proven experience.

* Solid understanding of present composite material technology, the related tooling needs, manufacturing techniques, laminate design and processes.

* Experienced user of 3D CAD (Siemens NX desirable but training will be given by in house Super User)

As a Composite Design Engineer you will:

* Have an organised and methodical approach to your work.

* Cover all aspects of Composite Design from concept/idea generation, tooling, detailed component design, assembly, related jigs, pit gear and supporting documentation.

* Be involved in material selection, laminate design, structural sign off and fault fixing.

* Show creativity, to suggest new ideas and concepts, and be involved in our wide ranging and ambitious composite R&D activity.

* Confidence in presentation of work

* Appreciate the larger company picture and be prepared to be flexible to suit changing priorities.
