An exciting opportunity has now arisen within the business for a dynamic and career driven Regional Sales Manager
The Role
The Regional Sales Manager will continue the company’s sales efforts across the UK South supporting OEM’s and End Users in devising the best solutions for their application requirements
Primary Functions
* Develops and maintains productive business relationships with assigned current and potential customers, OEM’s and End Users
* Develop opportunities with assigned customers and target markets and develop relationships from the cold call/initial contact to closing the deal and beyond.
* Serves as the primary contact for customer inquiries, technical and pricing data requests, and other business transactions.
* Identifies product needs through customer relationships and product knowledge.
* Identify customer solutions by clearly articulating customer needs and working closely with Business, Engineering and Manufacturing resources.
* Provides customers with solutions supported by a business case and effective presentations.
* Determine competitive pricing levels for pricing development. Understand and sell advantages, such as technical support, stocking programs, etc.
* Develop a technical understanding of product for customer presentations.
* Supports the leadership team in developing a strategic Business Development plan correlating within the defined territory and responsibilities.
* Provides market analysis and forecast to executive level management regarding opportunities and strategies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* Solid relationships, business development management experience, excellent research and report writing skills, dynamic and creative problem solving, as well as professional and positive interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
* Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.
* Direct experience capturing new business in the market and knowledge of customers’ acquisition processes/practices.
* A strong ability to assess and understand customer technical requirements, as well as understanding and providing value added alternatives to customer solution.
Preferred Qualifications
* An HNC/HNC/BSc in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* Technical Sales or Field Sales experience in the Bearings Industry with good knowledge of bearings, miniature or ball bearings either with a manufacturer or specialist bearing distributor
* Knowledge of the OEM/aftermarket sectors with a proven track record of winning new business including research and development projects.
* The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of mechanical components, transmission, and industrial equipment, such as gears, motors and hydraulics
