Are you a calm, positive, caring teacher with a forward thinking and creative nature? Then you could be the perfect Inclusion Room Supervisor!
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Inclusion Room Supervisor who can join a team of dedicated staff and hard-working pupils.
You will be working with up to 22 students, you will have responsibility for supervising students who have are placed in the Inclusion room, normally due to not following the school’s behaviour for learning policy.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and promote positive behavioural for learning strategies
• Supervise the students and support them with completing the work they have been assigned
• Ongoing assessment and completing a daily log detailing the students’ progress
• Make sure the classroom environment is well maintained.
• Organise and update the resources available to students in your supervision
• Arrange for the students work to be collected from their class teacher and then the completed work returned.
• Accompany the students during their lunch break
• Liaise with year group leaders, LSA’s and other pastoral team member regarding the behaviour challenges and learning difficulties of the students in your care.
The ideal candidate would be someone who works positively with students with a range of behaviour needs and has a very calm approach. Experience of supporting / guiding students in this type of setting would be ideal.
This role could suit a teacher who does not wish to plan/mark in the traditional way or an experienced support manager.
