A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Group Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Manager required to join a market leading company based in High Wycombe. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a highly acquisitive business looking to gain valuable hands-on experience efficiently within a competitive and progressive environment.
Responsibilities:
Liaise with divisional stakeholders to develop and record opportunities
Improve strategic targeting and build out pre-pipeline process
Lead generation through professional adviser contacts
Report on the pipeline via monthly board pack submissions
Develop business cases and high-level financial models for potential acquisitions alongside operational teams
Advise on valuation techniques and metrics
Challenge and confirm synergies proposed by divisional teams
Understand high-level impacts on Group result
Assist in qualifying strategic targets
Review anti-trust risk and class test requirements
Draft investment committee papers with divisional team support
Convert investment committee paper to Board Papers
Ensure compliance with the process
Coordinate the Post Investment Review process
Support negotiation of value with DCF model and market data available
Liaise with professional advisors, legal team and DD providers as required to support the deal process
Draft/review offer letters as requiredRequirements:
ACA qualified or equivalent
Broad experience of small / mid-sized M&A transactions from a buy side perspective
Sound understanding of key terminology, and ability to prepare relevant financial evaluation models / calculations
Strong report writing and presentation skills
