Human Resources Manager – Home Based – If you’re CIPD level 5 or above, or currently working toward level 5, have solid operational HR experience from within a predominantly stand-alone role and possess up to date knowledge of employment legislation and its appropriate application, then I’d like to hear from you.
This prestigious, part government funded, Milton Keynes based organisation, now embarking on a number of further projects, seeks to appoint a seasoned Human Resources Manager that will report to the Chief Operations Officer and subsequently take responsibility for the business’ overall HR function.
Working closely with the COO and wider management team, you’ll role will involve strategic planning and associated activities, along with thorough attention to, and the delivery of, required day-to-day operational tasks that are essential to the handling of a range of HR related challenges.
Your duties will also include;
• Day-to day HR operations that include recruitment, employee benefits, appropriate payroll input and the liaison with associated suppliers
• Overseeing the employee lifecycle from induction to exit
• Employee relations and personnel issues
• Performance management
• Training
• Health & Safety management
• Maintenance and enhancement where required of policy and procedure
• Reporting
• Ad-hoc projects if required
You’ll be a self-organised Human Resources Manager that enjoys autonomy and is keen to further develop your career and skills, whilst simultaneously helping to shape the agenda of this relatively small, but hugely successful and influential, business.
With excellent all-round communication and presentation skills, whether in person, via telephone or video conference, you’ll be comfortable working alone or collaboratively with the wider team, albeit remotely and based from home on a day to day basis. Experience working with HR systems is desirable and a good solid understanding of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint, is essential.

On offer in return is a salary of circa £35,000 – £40,000 per annum, negotiable subject to experience, and a range of benefits that include:

Please note that although this role will be home based from the outset, the company will ultimately be moving to a hybrid model of working, with a return to the office environment for part of the week in the future. In this respect you should ideally live within the Milton Keynes area, or within a reasonable commute of it, and have your own transport. 37.5 hours per week are as standard.
