About The Role
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.
EKFB Are looking to recruit a Graduate Environmental Advisor.
The role will be part of a small environmental team working within the construction team based in Brackley, with the support of the wider EKFB environment function across all 80km of C23.
About The Candidate
The successful candidates will be required to have a relevant NVQ Level 6/7 or BSc in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Management or related subjects. You will be a new graduate or have one year’s work experience.
You will have a good understanding of UK legislation and practical control of: water pollution, solid waste management, noise nuisance, and air quality. You will have a good understanding of chemistry as you will be interpreting laboratory reports of chemical analysis of soil and water samples against project criteria. You will have good written and presentation skills.
Whilst working from an office in Brackley, you will need a full driving licence as you will be travelling to construction sites spread over a 15km radius of Brackley and occasional visits to other locations in C23 including the main office at Milton Keynes. You will be undertaking site visits and inspections of pre-construction and construction sites requiring walking for periods outdoors over natural and man-made terrain.
We anticipate successful candidates will display strong team-working and interpersonal skills with the confidence to interact with all different levels.
