My client who are a global organisation within the construction and heavy plant industry are looking to recruit an experienced calibrations engineer to be a very important member of this expanding team.
The role is responsible for installation and calibration of machine control equipment on site
* Calibration – Calibration/re-calibration of machine control equipment as part of the installation, rental or support of equipment in the field.
* Service – Support resource in providing on maintenance, trouble shooting and support on equipment across all OEMs, OEM Dealers and Customers.
* Technical Support – Support customers and internal queries to be the technical support lead.
* Operations – Support the Machine Control Installation, Calibration and Support Team Leader to effectively delver customer requirements with installations and planning of operations
Ideally you will have:
* College or vocational qualification in Mechanical, Hydraulics or Electronic or similar engineering
* Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical issues on heavy equipment machines
* Familiarity with construction site operations using heavy equipment machine control systems is desired
Knowledge:
* Whilst not essential experience of construction equipment would be preferred.
* Experience of construction equipment technology would be preferred.
* Experience of the ground survey / digital field equipment would be preferred but is not essential.
* Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical issues on heavy equipment
* Experience of product and customer training preferred.
Ideally you will come from a background such as plant fitting, HGV fitting, hoses or similar. You must be able to think on your feet. Full training will be provided.
This role offers a company vehicle with travel to site regularly
