If your expertise are in the design / architecting of large transactional databases this opportunity is well worth exploring. You will join a talented team and a company that have grown significantly over the last year despite the pandemic. They are now set for the next phase of growth and need a SQL Database Architect / Designer to join the development team.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in the development of cloud based platform and migrations. You will take responsibility for the architecture, performance, security and reliability of the core databases, these are currently MS SQL Server, Azure SQL and NOSQL. You will work closely with all areas of the development team such as Integration, BI, DevOps and QA.
Key criteria for the SQL Database Architect:
* 5 years solid experience of large transactional databases.
* Proven ability to design and develop schema/ objects
* Excellent knowledge of SQL database engine and strong T-SQL
* Experience of cloud based data service ideally Azure
* Knowledge of automated deployment pipelines using DACPACs and Azure DevOps is of particular interest
* Knowledge of all the core skills associated with database work: stored procedures scripts, triggers and other objects
* Experience of database releases and upgrades with product releases
