Due to the award of new programmes an innovate manufacturer of complex assembles to the automotive sector has a new vacancy for a Senior Quality Engineer. An experience Senior Quality Engineer you ensure new product development activities meet the necessary quality standards and candidates are sought with a proven track record of successful NPI.

Commutable from: Milton Keynes, Northampton, Banbury, Daventry, Buckingham.

Salary: £ 38,000 – £ 45,000 p.a. + pension

Suitable For: Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer, Quality Manager.

The role

You will be responsible for ensuring that products produced meet quality standards required to minimise quality costs and maximise customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to.

Key responsibilities:

Manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (e.g. internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty)

Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues

Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards

Ensure new product development activities meet internal & customer documentation needs as required (APQP, PPAP and PFMEA).

Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained

Responsible for identifying, raising and speedily resolving quality issues to ensure zero impact to the customer, through the use of appropriate 8D problem solving workshops.

Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system (TS16949/ISO9001)

Undertake special projects as required

The Person

An experienced senior quality professional you will have good understanding of all quality tools and processes including strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP & FMEA. With previous experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment, candidates are sought preferably with experience in the automotive and/or aerospace sectors.
