We're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our Milton Keynes based Accountancy Firm.
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for undertaking bookkeeping, preparation of VAT returns, and management information for a client, ensuring deadlines and proper accounting standards are met.
The Role
· Undertake bookkeeping for a client as allocated by the line manager inputting data and processing payments as required
· Maintain a full and accurate audit trail by filing and referencing documents in a timely manner
· Adhere to proper accounting standards
· Meet deadlines and time budgets
· Advise line manager of any outstanding issues
· Complete VAT returns for allocated client
· Develop and maintain good client relationship
· Liaise with client directly or through relevant manager to resolve queries or obtain further information
· Ensure a high level of service to meet clients expectations
· Ensure that all hours worked on assignments are correctly recorded.
The Candidate
· 2 years or more Bookkeeping experience
· Knowledge of Sage50 accounting package
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
· Strong IT skills including Word, Outlook and Excel, to an intermediate level

· Carrying out tasks with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy
· Time management skills
· Ability to operate strict deadlines and handle conflicting priorities
· Ability to work under own initiative
