Project Controls Manager
Department: Project Controls/ Performance
Reports to: Head of Project Controls
Key relationships: Commercial, Project Controls and Supply Chain and Delivery
Location: Aylesbury
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a small team of people managing schedule cost and performance data, to provide a project controls service to one section of the C2/3 contracts.
* Use 3D models and latest technology (training will be provided) to derive CESMM4 Bills of Quantities for asset components. You will use estimating team standard rates to cost these items and link them to the contract schedule.
* Reporting and Dashboard production using Power BI.
* Expert Planning and scheduling knowledge.
* Check your output with senior commercial staff.
* Link the BoQs to the contract schedule.
* Receive and challenge cost forecasts from the supply chain.
* Work with section leads and site agents to verify their costs to complete.
* Maintain the EK smartCOST system.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* 2 to 3-year experience in project controls
* Previous experience of cost management systems within a major civil engineering project
* Previous knowledge of construction scheduling using Primavera P6
* Previous experience using Tilos is preferable
* Strong knowledge on how to measure civil engineering works
* Good understanding of NEC3 contracts
* Understanding of BIM concepts and its relation to project controls (4D and 5D)
* Good IT skills and adaptability
* Sound interpersonal skills and ability to interact collaboratively with the supply chain and colleagues
* Ability to manage a small team and deliver timely high-quality reports
* Excel – medium level of capability
