Experienced Prosthetic Technician Required

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced Prosthetic Technician to join the Team at our Southern Clinic in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the production of high-quality prosthetic devices that will make a substantial difference to the patients’ quality of life.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced technician to join a growing multi-disciplinary team of technical, medical, prosthetic and therapy staff.  

Essential job functions:

All aspects of prosthetic manufacture including plasterwork, lamination and vacuum forming of sockets, assembly of modular components, production of cosmetic covers and programming of microprocessor-controlled components.

Administration of job charts and other device history records, ensuring traceability of all critical components together with associated stock control procedures.

Essential knowledge and skills required:

Experience within prosthetic or orthotic manufacture.

Ability to translate clinical requirements into manufactured solutions.

Ability to provide bespoke construction ideas to satisfy unique individual requirements, including preparing sketches, test pieces, specifying materials to be used, construction techniques and finishes.

A good team player with ability to take responsibility and work independently.

Good personable skills allowing clinical interaction with patients.

Desirable but not essential experience:

Experience within upper extremity prosthetic manufacture.

Experience of silicone work.

R&D Experience within socket design and material selection.

 Company: My client has two clinics in the UK that have grown steadily since the company was established. 

working hours – Monday – Friday 8.30am- 4.30pm 

Salary £25,000 – £33,000 pa DOE
