A thriving and expanding property developer are currently seeking a Maintenance Operative to join their team to carry out maintenance and make sure they are presented for new clients at handover stage.

The Maintenance Operative Role

As a Maintenance Operative you will be an experienced individual who sets high standards for yourself. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, likes a challenge, is a team player and who understands customer service excellence within the after sales environment.

The Maintenance Operative

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate and have recent experience of carrying out:

To assist the Sales Manager in the maintenance and presentation of all new homes.
Undertake regular plot inspections noting all internal snagging items and defects, settlement cracks, uneven mastic, cupboard alignment, bulbs, window cleaning etc. Undertake all works required.
Internal snagging – flush toilets and run water in the showers and baths to ensure correct function. Making sure that the areas are wiped dry, and no water marks remain on the sanitaryware.
Carry out the repair of all snagging to a high standard of finish ensuring that the appropriate tools and apint colours are used.
Report any issues that are more serious to the Site Manager.
Provide external maintenance to all properties, ensuring that the gardens are well maintained including regular grass cutting, weeds removed, driveways clean and swept and general checks to fencing and patios.
Ensure your materials are always in stock and order top ups in adequate time.
Clean and maintain site signage.
Touch up after external contractors have been in the plot, specifically after fitting of flooring and carpet.
Good communication skills and time keeping.
