Senior Network Engineer – Milton Keynes £50,000 – £55,000 + on-call

We’re excited to be partnering with a well-known UK Defence company who is looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer. The Senior Network Engineer will be working as a part of the infrastructure team within a large enterprise environment, the role requires a broad set of skills and a high degree of flexibility and adaptability.

This role can be based from their office in Milton Keynes or Bristol and after the pandemic will offer a hybrid model and working from home and office based. The successful Senior Network Engineer must be eligible for SC clearance and be happy to work as part of an on-call rota.  

Essential Experience:

Proven track record as a Senior Network Engineer and have commercial experience with network design and architecture and with Software Defined Networking
Experience with dealing with customers, suppliers and teammates in a professional manner
Proven experience as a Network Engineer with strong Cisco CCNA, CCNP or equivalent (ideally), Cisco Switching, and building resilient TCP/IP Networks, Firewall (ASA, Checkpoint, Juniper Netscreen) and VPN technologies, F5 load balancer and CISCOs ACI
Technically strong in Cisco routing and Cisco switching (Ideally including OSPF and IP protocol experience
Proficiency in analysing, managing and maintaining network topology, network devices, routers, firewall’s, servers and server delivery systems, subsystems, and components
