Responsibilities:
The Fibre Manager is responsible the installation of telecoms FTTH infrastructure; including cabling, splicing, and testing. This includes working closely with our project teams, to ensure that technical requirements are understood and met as well as ensuring operational programme requirements are delivered and that financial targets are realised, all in accordance with the requirements of our fibre installation Contracts.
Requirements:
· Experience of delivering multiple complex projects concurrently
· Experience with Fibre deployment using the BT PIA duct network with a view to recruit, train and manages PIA admin staff as the business demands grow
· OTDR Experience – EXFO, CMA NETTEST, ANRITSU, NOYES or similar
· Working knowledge of Straight-Line Diagrams and Fibre Allocation Sheets
· Experienced with the use of Fusion splicing – Fujikura 60s, 70s or similar.
· Working experience of GPON or XGSPON networks
· Experienced in engaging with suppliers and keeping up with technology development within the industry
· An understanding of fibre networks to facilitate in Fibre fault finding and repair
· GIS knowledge is desirable.
· Understanding of cost and value
· Understanding of programming relevant Fibre and Telecoms training to current standards
· Experience of managing and leading a team
UK Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle essential
