This experienced company run a wide range of projects from household extensions to apartment buildings and large hotels. They also have great expertise in the off-site modular building industry, especially in light gauge steel and timber. Having experienced continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a Structural Engineer to join their team.
On offer is the chance to work on innovative and interesting projects while delivering high quality Engineering solutions working with architects, engineers, property owners and manufacturers. Working predominantly in the Residential sector, this company have a solid grasp and great expertise of the industry.
In this role you will be designing structural elements for residential schemes in timber and steel including foundation design. You will be directly involved with taking on projects all the way from inspection through to on-site construction. You will be responsible for the inspection of existing structures to determine causes of cracking or suitability for conversion to residential use. You will oversee the work and mentor and develop junior staff. This role is majority office based with occasional site visits being required.
This role would therefore suit a Structural Engineer with experience working on residential construction projects. Therefore suiting someone who has a sound understanding of relevant principles and experience with light gauge steel and timber.

The Role:
Produce design work for a variety of construction projects
Working predominantly designing Residential projects, with the opportunity to work on Modular projects
Overseeing and developing junior staff
Inspection of existing structures
The Person:
Experience working as a Structural Engineer in the construction industry
Full driving licence
Competent in CAD and Computer assisted engineering software
