This role will be based at our headquarters in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
Your skills and experience
The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the processing of supplier invoices and payments and oversight of the Accounts Payable function
As an Accounts Payable Supervisor, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
* Experience of leading Accounts Payable functions in multiple currencies in an international manufacturing environment.
* Good understanding of Supply Chain processes and controls.
* Experience of using multiple ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Syspro).
* Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and at all levels of the organisation cross functionally.
As an Accounts Payable Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
* Lead the Accounts Payable function.
* Management and development of Accounts Payable policies and procedures in line with Company policy and best practice.
* Management and development of relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders.
* Management and reporting of Key Performance Indicators for the Accounts Payable team.
* Support the Finance team with any additional responsibilities as required.
* Prepare reports as required by the Finance Team.
Key tasks:
* Perform a 3-way matching process for PO purchase invoices.
* Register and seek appropriate approvals for non-PO purchase invoices in a timely manner.
* Investigate price and quantity variances with Purchasing where necessary.
* Understanding and processing of supplier credits.
* Liaise cross-functionally & with suppliers to efficiently close out invoice discrepancies.
* Processing of employee expenses and Company credit card administration.
* Strong knowledge and application of UK VAT rules.
* Ensure strong communication within Accounts Payable function.
* GBP and Foreign currency payment runs and allocate Direct Debits.
* Monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
* Adhere to and keep up-to-date with changes to the delegation of authority matrix.
* Set up suppliers on ERP, ensuring relevant approvals are obtained.
* Follow Company policy on changes in vendor details & maintain where necessary.
* Investigate aged GRNs and RTVs.
* Review and investigate aged balances and debit balances.
* Good understanding of payment terms and investigate where terms may differ between us & the supplier.
* Communicate well within the Finance team, cross functionally and with external stakeholders.
