As a market leading established manufacturer, we are setting up a brand-new UK facility in Towcester because of growth both in terms of our market and our product offering. Part of this new development is a purpose-built label manufacturing facility. This is a crucial Factory / Production / Manufacturing management position.
 
BASIC SALARY: £50,000 – £55,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Plant Manager / Manufacturing Manager / Operations Manager / Production Manager – Print Consumables : Food Industry
 
This is a management position. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the Head of Labels you will be tasked with:
· Overseeing all day-to-day elements of the facility : Compliance, Continuous Improvement, Health & Safety, Quality etc
· Have overall responsibility for orders, production, planning and dispatch deadlines
· Direct line management and associated tasks, including coaching and development of employees
· Measurement and review of production measures / KPI's including set up, run speeds, wastage, down time etc
· Optimisation of staffing levels (circa 10 direct reports) and weekly manning and assistance with job planning
· Accountability for manufacturing quality products to meet customer specifications
· Responsibility for quality concerns and corrective and preventative action being completed in a timely manner
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Plant Manager / Manufacturing Manager / Operations Manager / Production Manager – Print Consumables : Food Industry
 
· You will ideally have a current and proven track record in a Factory / Production / Manufacturing manager position, specifically manging a label or print function
· Depending on the level of applications we receive we may also consider Plant/Factory/Production Managers from other industries who have the required transferable skills and experience in a manufacturing environment
· We may also consider applications from Shift Managers in a production environment looking to take a step up into a plant/factory management position
