Experienced CNC machining facility Cell Leader required to join one of the world's leading Aerospace/Defence manufacturers in Middlesex
We are seeking candidates who are very detail orientated, process and productivity driven to supervise and lead a team of CNC Machinists to ensure production outputs and targets are met
Cell Leader accountabilities:
To supervise a team of operators to ensure output/production targets are met
Plan, monitor and allocate workloads to maximise output
Monitoring of sick absence and attendance
Completion of appraisals and Training plans
Developing a skills matrix for their team
Conducting and arranging training on the job for members of the team
Recruitment of team members as required
Handing employee disputes
Conducting risk assessments in accordance with the H&S plan
Initiating and participating in 5 "S" and other improvement activities.
Communicate and monitor team performance against KPI/metrics
Investigation of the causes of poor productivity and implementation of action plans to address them
Ensure all relevant Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times
Other managerial duties as required
Experience & Skills:
Experience of managing people
Experience of working in a Machining environment
CNC Machining knowledge is essential (lead/cycle times, tool planning, spindle speeds, machine output etc)
Strong knowledge of planning and monitoring of workloads
Numerical ability – interpreting graphs, percentages, analysing trend data
An understanding of COSHH and/ or risk assessments
Working knowledge of SAP or any other MRP system
HNC / HND in an Engineering related discipline or an Apprenticeship

Week of Earlies 6.00-14.00 Mon-Thu, 06.00-12.00 Fri,
Week of Lates 13.45-22.00 Mon-Thu 11.45-16.15 Fri
