Senior Software Engineer
(Fully Remote from home – 1 / 2 days per month in office in Cheltenham)
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Apply Team for an experienced and professional Senior Software Engineer with a solid background in C# .NET core and Framework, Java API development, JavaScript and AWS to contributing to solution design and prototypes, collaborating with Architecture and Platform teams working on the core system enabling learners to create their applications for higher education.
Experience Requirements
* Understand Agile ways of working
* Java API development inc. automated testing
* C#, .Net core and framework
* Single Page Applications written in JavaScript / typescript
* Working understanding of serverless technology
* Working knowledge of both relational and document based databases
Accountabilities
* Contributing to solution design and prototypes, collaborating with Architecture and Platform teams.
* Communicating with various technical and non-technical stakeholders, for example, the Technical Team Lead, Product Owner, Solution Architect, and the development teams.
* Coaching and mentoring less experienced members within a team.
* ensuring the smooth running of our production environment and deployments, using advanced automated testing skills.
* Contributing to department wide technical standards etc. as an active member of the SSE group.
