Our Client are an internationally based Automotive technology company with an ambitious goal to re-define and revolutionise the next generation of in-vehicle experience with the development of an industry leading Augmented Reality Head Up Display.
Using the innovative technology of phase only holography, they are making this a reality!
They have already assembled some of the world’s top scientists & engineers from worldwide renowned companies and due to the success and growth of their product development activities, they are now looking to invest in the support of experienced Metrology / Lab Technicians with experience in electronics, optics and/or lasers on a fixed term contract basis (inside IR35) for circa 8 weeks duration with possible view to extension.
Primary Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the testing of optical components, with the support of the Engineering team. These components will eventually be built into a final product that will be installed into automotive vehicles.
Skills & Knowledge ideally required:
Essential:
You will be an experienced Metrology / Lab Technician with experience in electronics, optics, or lasers, at a push maybe software.
Experience with optical bench setups.
Ability to follow instructions and test procedures.
Experience in performing laboratory testing on optical components according to established test procedures.
Experience in logging test results accurately, communicating findings to key stakeholders.
Working with HW / SW, PC based and able to operate stand-alone instruments under supervision.Desirable:
Laser safety training would be a real bonus.
Physics Degree (PhD, MSc) is preferable, but by no means is essential.
