Looking for tip-top legal secretary for a very successful law firm based near Amersham and Chesham. This is working within their Family team therefore you will need to have about 2 years experience as a Legal Secretary within Family.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm – excellent company benefits and very competitive pay, free on-site parking
Main purpose of the role:
To support the team of Solicitors/ fee earners in the Family and Matrimonial division with all Secretarial and administrative matters.
Key duties:
* Audio typing and copy typing
* File opening
* File closing
* Filing incoming correspondence and outgoing copies, invoices, reports and paper files
* File checking
* Organising in preparation for semi-annual quality audits
* Diary management
* File management on Case Management system
* Emailing, printing, scanning and copying documents
* Assisting with the collation of court bundles and briefs to Counsel.
* Liaising with clients, Courts, solicitors and counsel
* Checking lengthy documentation and proofreading
* Completing legal forms such as Form Es, Divorce Petitions
* Preparation of Bills
* Checking and writing off balances on files that are ready for closure
* Dealing with telephone enquiries from clients and accounts in relation to bills
Experience/skills required:
* Minimum of 2 years Legal Secretary experience within Family and Matrimonial
* Experience in audio and copy typing
* Good knowledge of Word and Excel
