Full Stack Developer Lead

London OR Milton Keynes

To £80K plus extensive benefits package

Position & job role summary:

Our client is looking for a passionate Lead Full Stack Developer who will be responsible for building and leading an agile team to write clean, maintainable, scalable and well tested code in a fast-paced environment.

As the Full Stack Developer Lead you will be working in a small cross functional product squad alongside Developers, Testers, Product Owners, Business Analysts and UX Designers. You will work in a highly Agile environment with a clear vision and roadmap driven by our dedicated Product owners.

Job role responsibilities will include:

* Building and leading a team of motivated full stack developers

* Working with Product Owners to drive product vision, manage scope and client expectations

* Building, designing and implementing high-volume, high-scale responsive web front ends, web APIs, data analytics solutions in the cloud

* Building Microservices based applications using .Net Core

* Deploying applications in Azure Cloud

* Mentoring junior development staff in the art of building software systems

* Bringing new ideas in cloud, big data, and machine learning software development

* Leveraging industry knowledge and staying close to technology developments in the open-source and cloud communities

* Collaborating with cross-functional teams

* Practicing and enforcing Agile and Scrum development methodologies

Essential skills required:

* .net

* Angular

* API development (Rest, GraphQL)

* SQL (Postgres or Oracle or SQL Server)

* DevOps

* Agile

* Team Lead experience (Scrum Master)

Desirable qualifications also include:

A number of years of professional experience as a full stack developer ideally with the most recent year or so in a Lead role

A Good understanding of Cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as IaaS/SaaS/PaaS, load balancing, Storage, etc

Hands on experience on Azure App Service Model (Web Apps and Web Jobs)

Creating, deploying, configuring and scaling applications on Azure PaaS

Hands on experience on Azure storage services like SQL DB, Tables, Files and Blobs

Good knowledge of Azure IaaS (VMs, VNET, NSG Rules, VPN Gateways and Express Route)

Hands on experience on Azure Integration services like Service Bus and Event Hubs

Participating on requirement gathering, analysis and technical design

Knowledge of networking engineering including DNS, Active Directory, Firewall, Load balancers, etc

Hands on experience in implementing RESTful webservices and SOAP services in cloud

Experience with messaging frameworks (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, etc.)

Experience with Docker, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, or 12 factor app

Experience with using development tools, including Azure DevOps, TFS, VSTS, JIRA, GitHub, and Jenkins

Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with analytical problem-solving skills

Good client facing experience

Good organisational and effective communication skills

This role can be based out of offices in Milton Keynes or London however candidates must have a flexible attitude towards travel.
