About the role:
They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Tenancy Enforcement Officer to provide a high quality tenancy enforcement service within their neighbourhoods. You’ll provide effective response to anti-social behaviour and other tenancy breaches through prevention, communication, intervention and enforcement.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Managing, investigating and resolving anti-social behaviour cases and other tenancy breaches including abandonment, unauthorised occupation, property damage and neglect, hoarding and tenancy fraud
* Working collaboratively with colleagues to assess, problem solve and agree decisions on actions required to resolve cases
* Providing advice on possible tenancy breaches, giving tenants the opportunity to remedy the matter
* Issuing warnings to tenants responsible for causing harassment, nuisance and anti-social behaviour
* Communicating effectively and regularly with victims and witnesses
* Liaising with colleagues about maintenance, repairs and improvement issues
What they’re looking for:
* Previous experience of resolving incidents of anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches
* Experience of dealing with customer who may be in crisis, experiencing high levels of stress or suffering from mental ill health
* Experience of working with the police and local authorities to resolve anti-social behaviour
* Ability to delivery outstanding customer service
* Knowledge of housing / tenancy legislation
* A high level of emotional intelligence and a non-judgmental approach with the ability to recognise powerful and distressing emotions in customers and handle these situations appropriately
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to travel and attend court to represent the organisation where necessary
