Purpose of Position
To provide CNC Milling technical expertise and knowledge to support company quality requirements, maintained equipment and work safely, efficiently and productively in line with business priorities and requirements.
Key accountabilities
* Generate and adapt CNC programmes using relevant programming system.
* Setter machines G offsets
* Produce Precision components in a production environment.
* Manufacture machined components to engineering drawings, using set work instructions and schedules.
* Work to production targets maintaining accurate quality records and documentation.
* Use manual inspection equipment to perform quality checks.
* Use of various engineering and workshop equipment when required.
* Be involved in improvement activities.
* Problem solving.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards.
* Have a positive attitude to safety & quality.
* To actively participate in team meetings.
* To carry out TPM on equipment
* Deliver outstanding HSEQ performance every time.
* Provide mechanical knowledge & technical backup for the factory.
* Assist Shift Managers as required.
* Update technical information as required.
* Lead by example in encouraging teamwork, flexibility, and a culture of continuous improvement.
* Proactively support company / site initiatives
* Undertake risk assessments.
Job requirements
The role holder is expected:
* To comply with all aspects of the MDC Precision Hand book and Compliance Policy
* To ensure that all the business/operations are performed in accordance with instructions and procedures and in such a way so as to prevent any fraudulent activities taking place.
* To comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to observe the requirements of the Company Safety Policy and other relevant legislation.
* To update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required.
* To comply will all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company
Education/Qualification
Approved apprenticeship
5 years’ experience of setter CNC Milling Machines
Valid safety passport
Self-motivated
Able to work with minimal supervision.
