Science Teacher
Aylesbury
Full Time- Starting after Easter (can be flexible)
Teaching Personnel are looking for Secondary Science Teacher to join the team of a school in Aylesbury after Easter. You would be teaching a small number of pupils (10- 12 a class) with the support of a SEN Teaching Assistant. This school caters for pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties. All students will be working at lower levels with some being offered the opportunity to study entry level 3 science. Students are keen to learning but do find it a difficulty to engage with the work and its takes them longer to process the material. The school would consider a teacher from a mainstream or SEN background.
About the role
Small classes
SEN Trained Science TA on hand to support
Full Time – Monday – Friday
PPA time is factored in to the time table
Extra Science Prep time is in place working 1:1 with the SEN TA
Contract until July 2021 with the potential of a permanent contract from the right candidate
You
Must hold a UK QTS
Strong subject knowledge in one of the three Sciences (Biology Chemistry and Physics)
Enjoys running practical experiments and fun activities. Pupils engage better with visual and creative learning
Patient with pupils as they take a little longer to process material
Able to work well and commuicate with staff. Some lesson prep will involves the Science TA
