Supply Chain Planner**
**Buckinghamshire**
**18 Month Fixed Term Contract**

My Client is an engineering manufacturer seeking an experience Supply Chain Planner to join the Purchasing Team on a fixed term contract basis. The Main duties of the role will be to optimise inventory levels across the supply chain network to meet customer service level requirements.
Main duties for the Supply Chain Planner will be:
*Ownership of B2C stock allocations for the UK market and working closely with the relevant stakeholders to ensure customer expectations are met.
*Review stock shortages across the network and work closely with the Order Processing Department in China to ensure order schedules are in line with the financial estimates.
*Manage products through their life cycle, ensuring old product is cleared and the replacement product is introduced in line with market expectations.
*Support testing of additional supply activities within Vanguard.
*Maintenance of inventory strategies in Vanguard.
*Ad hoc support to the team wherever needed including inbound container planning, stock reservations and the maintenance of supply master data.

Experience and skills needed to be the successful Supply Chain Planner:

*Experience in a similar role with good experience with and understanding of MRP systems
*Strong IT skills including advanced Excel
*Strong planning and analysis skills
*Good time management with the ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
*Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
