A quick look at the role
The Project Data Analyst is a key role in the acquisition data work-stream reporting to the Project Data Manager. You will be responsible for analysing, managing, preparing and loading acquisition data effectively into key business systems. You're also responsible for coordination with the business to ensure data is fit for purpose, timely and well-integrated to maximise operational effectiveness and profitability. This is a critical role with visibility across the organisation given the strategic nature of M&A projects within Biffa and the need for professional management of the data work stream. An acquisition is only ever as good as the data safely loaded onto the system

Carry out analysis, cleansing and transformation of acquisition / project related data where required in preparation for migration to Biffa's core applications, identifying risks and opportunities within the data available
To work closely with the Project Data Manager and other project managers on all phases of acquisitions; communicating, planning, coordinating and delivering effectively and on time.
Manage the expectations of stakeholders, related departments and department leads to understand and deliver their data/information requirements in relation to the development, integration and optimisation phases of the process, while serving as a liaison for the project's technical, functional and non-technical teams
To continually develop and refine the data templates, structures and processes as the business transitions to new business systems
To build and manage relationships with key personnel from acquired businesses to ensure queries and data are managed effectively and Biffa's interests and reputation are protected at all times
Ensure the quality and integrity of the master data loaded into the business systems is fit for purpose and of the highest possible quality
Report and provide analysis of the ongoing acquisition / project performance, responding to ad-hoc report requests and data enquiries from the business
Support the project teams in the delivery of data and analysis as necessaryRequirements
Experience in the waste management industry would be advantageous
Experience of project management and also working within a governance framework preferable
An advanced user of Microsoft Excel and experience with Power BI or other BI applications preferable
Excellent mathematical understanding – modelling, analysis and projections
Able to work within tight deadlines with a lot of complexity.
Analytical with excellent attention for detail and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
