Premier Recruitment Solutions are working with our national client to recruit a Driver for their service centre in Milton Keynes.
Drivers will be expected to Deliver and Collect from the centre in Bletchley, MK3.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the delivery of and the installation of community equipment, and as a result, help transform the living standards of those in need and the vulnerable. Basic DIY skills required – and this is not something that you need to be trained in, as full training is provided with side by side training for the first couple of weeks in the role. You will get to see a close up on what the job looks like by an experienced staff member.
You will assist with deliveries and collections. The collections will be returned to the service centre for repairs, servicing and testing by operatives at the base. They will then go on to be deep cleaned, and re-packaged so that the process of delivery to the next person in requirement of the equipment, can have them in their home. In some or most cases, you will install the equipment (depending on the kind) at the persons home.
Full Training is provided, no previous experience needed.
It would be preferred if Applicants could have an up to date Enhanced DBS Check if possible. You will still be considered without one.
About you:
Experience within a relatable role and environment would be beneficial – but not needed as training given
Must hold a full UK Driving Licence for at least 3 years
Must not have any more than 6 points
No disqualifications / driving offences in the last 10 years
Enhanced DBS check preferable
Be able to load and unload goods, some of which may be heavy
Due to the repair and servicing side of the job, basic DIY Skills would be advantageous
Excellent communication skills and time keeping
Self motivated and able to work independently
Previous experience of driving a van and working with the public
This is not a typical 9:00am-17:00pm position so applicants should be flexible. Your typical hours will be 08:30am-17:00pm however as you are making deliveries and collections – you will need to complete your day before finishing.Applicants will be contacted within 48hrs of applying
