Our client is a leading automotive designer and manufacturer, and is looking for a Logistics Specialist to join their team.
You will be required to plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the systems activities, providing project, launch, leadership, communication and training and development.
Main Duties for the Logistics Specialist will include:
* System management
* Plan, manage and administrable plan for every part
* Lineside design meeting direct process timings and ergonomic guidelines
* Packaging design and management support
* Facilitate effective communication
* Inventory management lineside
* Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures
* Ensure company policies are communicated, applied and enforced
* Work in collaboration with internal business units to maximise efficiencies and best practice
* Organise and lead the focus on improved productivity levels
* Preparation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
* Local project management
* Launch support
Experience Required:
* Minimum of 3 years experience of team management
* Minimum of 3 years experience of fast paced manufacturing environment eg automotive
* Good analytical and numerical skills
* Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation, and planning skills
* Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
* Demonstrable awareness of issue resolution techniques (8D / Kaizen)
* Computer literate
