Site Engineer – Shafts
6 month contract (potentially temp to perm)
Located in Chalfont St Peters
£230 per day on a PAYE contract which is equivalent to a salary of £60,000 per annum

My client are currently looking for a Site Engineer with Tunneling and Shafts experience. This is working on one of the largest infrastructure projects across the UK and has the potential to go from a contract to a permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Setting out using total stations, GPS equipment, and to be able to undertake traditional setting out using profiles, batter rail and pegs
Undertake basic take-off
Raising technical queries with designers and other members of the client team
Carry out relevant inspections and testing to ensure conformance of the works with the design and specification
Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures
Read and review construction drawingsRequirements:

Shafts and Tunnelling experience
Setting out experience
CSCS card and ideally hold a CITB SMSTS/ SSSTS qualification.
Full UK driving license
First Aid at Work qualification
Previously worked with a main contractor
Confident communicator
